Due to continued growth, Schnell Industries Inc. is looking for experienced welders to join our production team. We are currently seeking welders for both full-time permanent daytime positions and flexible part-time seasonal evening positions.
The successful candidates will be dependable, safety-conscious, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

• Overall availability and schedule

Due to continued growth, Schnell Industries Inc. is looking to fill full-time permanent daytime positions as Assembly Laborers to join our production team.

The Assembly Laborer is responsible for assembling parts and components according to work instructions and quality standards. This role involves using hand and power tools, inspecting completed work, and supporting daily production activities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, follows safety procedures, and works effectively with team members.

The successful candidates will be dependable, safety-conscious, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly Operations & Production Support

• Assemble parts and components according to work orders, drawings, and instructions
• Prepare and organize parts, hardware, and materials for assembly
• Use hand and power tools to fasten, fit, and install components
• Check that all required components are correctly installed, meeting specifications and quality standards
• Assist team members with assembly tasks and material handling
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects, damage, or missing components, reporting defects / rework requirements

Equipment & Tool Use

• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely
• Operate material handling equipment as trained and authorized
• Use electronic devices to identify parts and track work progress
• Maintain production records or tagging systems as required

Workplace & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area, following all company health and safety requirements
• Properly use required PPE, tools, and equipment
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality concerns promptly
• Lift, carry, push, and pull parts and materials using proper handling techniques

Qualifications & Key Traits for Success:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work, including lifting weights up to 50 lbs
• Ability to follow work instructions and read basic drawings and measurements
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is an asset
• Comfortable using electronic devices and production documentation

Position Title: Warehouse Operations Associate

Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Position Summary:

Schnell Industries Inc. is looking for a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Operations Associate to support daily warehouse activities and take ownership of improvement projects. The successful candidate will work alongside the Warehouse Lead, gaining broad exposure to warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, scheduling, and team coordination.

This position is well suited to someone who is willing to begin with all levels of warehouse work—from routine picking and material handling to process improvement projects—and who has the initiative and leadership potential to take on greater responsibility as they grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day warehouse duties, including picking, receiving, staging, organizing, and moving materials as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, and material concerns.
• Assist with inventory control, including maintaining accurate locations, min/max levels, and related records.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Lead to learn warehouse workflows, priorities, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Take ownership of warehouse improvement projects, from planning through implementation and follow-up.
• Coordinate, communicate, and plan future projects with Warehouse, Purchasing, Assembly, and other departments as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment, including indoor and outdoor storage areas.
• Support receiving and the movement of parts into and out of the warehouse.
• Safely operate forklifts and related material-handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues, solve problems on the spot, and escalate concerns when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and technical aptitude; experience with Microsoft and/or ERP programs is an asset.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, and take responsibility for assigned work.
• A positive, respectful attitude with a willingness to learn, cross-train, and contribute wherever needed.
• Ability to safely lift and move parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating a forklift or telehandler is an asset; training may be provided to the right candidate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous warehouse, inventory, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is an asset.

DEPARTMENT: Design

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Drafter or Senior Design Drafter, you will collaborate with our design team to create detailed and accurate technical drawings for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be respectful and trustworthy, able to take initiative and be self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working independently while contributing to a positive, fast-paced work environment. This is a full-time, in-office, permanent position, available immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create Technical Drawings: Develop accurate and detailed technical drawings and blueprints for manufacturing processes, including equipment, components, and assembly instructions. Ensure that all technical drawings and schematics are clear, high-quality, and meet industry standards.
 • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs): Prepare and maintain detailed lists of materials, parts, and components required for production based on designs.
 • Model Equipment Designs: Use CAD software (SolidWorks) to create 3D models and prototypes of equipment and products.
 • Update Existing Drawings: Revise and update existing drawings and models to reflect design changes, improvements, or modifications.
 • Collaborate with R&D and Drafting Team: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
 • Ensure Compliance with Industry Standards: Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards, including quality assurance guidelines.
 • Prepare Production Documents: Develop detailed production drawings that are clear, concise, and ready for use in the manufacturing process.
 • Support the Manufacturing Process: Assist production teams by providing accurate drawings, specifications, and clarification of design details during the manufacturing phase.
 • Review and Resolve Design Issues: Address any design issues or discrepancies that arise during the review or manufacturing process, proposing appropriate solutions.
 • Maintain Design Documentation: Organize and manage design documentation to ensure it is up-to-date and easily accessible for reference or revisions.
 • Participate in Design Reviews: Attend design review meetings to present work, suggest improvements, and incorporate feedback from team members or clients and update existing drawings and models accordingly.
 • Assist in Product Development: Support the development and refinement of new products and prototypes, ensuring all technical drawings align with product requirements.

EXPERIENCE:
 • Must have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Design, with a minimum of 2 years of that experience in the Manufacturing Industry, with good knowledge of manufacturing processes
 • Hands-on experience with CAD software/SolidWorks
 • Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical schematics for machinery or equipment is highly desirable.
 • Experience with Jigs & Fixturing is considered an asset
 
Skills:
 • Excellent professional and technical English writing and editing skills.
 • Strong attention to detail and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
 • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). and Google Suite
 • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
 • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
 • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a collaborative team. Must be willing and able to work in person at our Winkler offices to facilitate full team collaboration.
