Schnell Transloader FAQ
Q: What are the tonnes per hour on the machine?
Our Portable Transloaders are rated for up to 400 tons (approximately 362 metric tonnes) per hour. Real-world throughput varies with material type, density, and operational setup. Optimized design ensures consistent, high-capacity loading.
Q: Are parts for transloaders easily accessible? Do we have all the parts needed on hand? Lead times?
Yes. Schnell stocks all standard wear parts and common components (belts, bearings, hydraulic hoses, seals). Lead times for uncommon parts are generally short. We recommend customers keep a tailored spare parts kit on hand for critical items.
Q: How long to load a truck?
Typically, you can load a standard bulk trailer in 15–20 minutes, depending on material flow and operator technique.
Q: What is the lead time if they order a machine?
Lead times vary with demand and custom configurations, typically 6–12 weeks. We prioritize transparency and will provide an accurate estimate on order.
Q: Which stinger setup is right for their operation?
We offer multiple stinger configurations to suit different materials and site layouts:
- Regular Stinger: Low-profile, fully guarded with stainless mesh; ideal for fine granular products.
- Drive-Over Stinger with Flip Up: Best for unloading trucks or railcars with easy drive-over clearance.
- Stinger with Flip-Up Wings: Helps contain product and reduce spillage.
Our team will help you choose the best configuration for your operation.
Q: Do we do custom builds?
Yes. Customization is our specialty. We’ll tailor conveyor lengths, stinger types, catwalk options, dust control systems, power packages, and more to meet your site’s needs.
Q: What is the TPH on each size Transloader?
All Schnell transloaders, including TLX30, TLX36, and TLX42 models, are designed for up to 400 tons per hour. Capacity depends on belt width (30–42 inches), belt speed, and material properties.
Q: Do you have any in-stock units?
We sometimes have stock or near-complete builds available. Availability changes quickly, so please contact us for current inventory.
Q: Do you rent or have lease options available?
We don’t directly offer rental or lease programs, but we’re happy to help you explore third-party financing or leasing solutions.
Q: What type of products can the Transloader run?
Our transloaders are engineered for bulk dry materials such as:
- Fertilizer
- Grain
- Salt
- Sand
- Lime
- Aggregates
- Many other free-flowing materials
Q: What is the ballpark pricing on all models?
Pricing varies by model size, options, and customization. For planning, these are industrial-scale units representing a significant capital investment. We will provide tailored, transparent quotes on request.
Q: What are the most common issues?
These machines are built for tough jobs. Common service needs include:
- Belt tension and alignment adjustments
- Hydraulic hose inspection/replacement
- Bearings lubrication/replacement
- Dust collector filter checks
Proper daily/weekly maintenance prevents downtime.
Q: Do you have a maintenance schedule?

✅ Daily (10 hrs): Fuel/oil level check, greasing roller bearings
✅ Weekly (40 hrs): Belt tension/tracking, hopper seal checks
✅ Annually (200 hrs): Oil change, wheel bearing repack, dust collector filter inspection
Full details are provided in the Operator Manual.
Q: Can I get a common replacement part list?
